Midwifery Prenatal Care for Hospital Birth

personalized, full-spectrum prenatal care—with the hospital as your birth setting

You can plan a hospital birth and still receive prenatal care that feels personal, spacious, and attuned.

I offer comprehensive midwifery prenatal care in the Bay Area for people who want a different experience than the standard OB model—one where you are known, where visits aren’t rushed, and where your care is relational.

A More Personal Approach to Prenatal Care

In many hospital systems, prenatal care can feel fragmented:

  • Appointments are brief

  • Providers rotate

  • There’s limited time for questions or conversation

This can feel as though you are moving through a system, rather than being cared for within it.

My practice is built around a relational model. I worked in home birth for over a decade, and believe that people birthing in a hospital can also receive the same type of personalized care.

You’ll work with one provider throughout your pregnancy—someone who understands your history, your concerns, and your priorities.

Full Prenatal Care with a Licensed Midwife

I serve as your primary prenatal care provider for low-risk pregnancy, offering all routine clinical care:

  • Regular prenatal visits (aligned with standard care timing)

  • 60 minute appointments

  • Vitals, belly checks, and fetal monitoring

  • All routine labs (bloodwork, urine, GDM screening, GBS, and more)

  • Non-stress tests (NSTs) when indicated

  • Ultrasound referrals within the Bay Area

  • Ongoing assessment and coordination of care if anything falls outside of normal

Preparing for Your Hospital Birth

Even when planning a hospital birth, most people aren’t given much space to understand how it actually works.

Part of our work together is making sure you feel informed and prepared.

We’ll spend time on:

  • What to expect during hospital labor and delivery

  • How common interventions unfold and how to make decisions in the moment

  • Clarifying your preferences for birth

  • Communication and advocacy within the hospital setting

  • Knowing when to go to the hospital

  • Preparing a birth team that feels aligned with your goals

Prenatal Care That Makes Space for You

Prenatal care isn’t only about tests and measurements.

It’s also about having the time to:

  • Ask the questions that come up week to week

  • Talk through decisions without pressure

  • Feel supported as your body and life shift

Midwifery care holds the clinical and the personal, without rushing either.
